Tales of the Vespercene

Tales of the Vespercene is a little FKR game zine.

I made this to print out and put in local Little Free Libraries. It's a labor of love combining my favorite elements of Dying Earth, wyrd fairy tales, science fantasy, pulpy oddness, and punk zine aesthetics.

This game is inspired by the wonderful FKR work by 𝕵𝖆𝖒𝖟𝖎𝖑𝖑𝖆 and Trollish Delver Games. Particularly their zines Cyst & Bile Keep and Witch Dream & Gorgon Rot, respectively.

Further appreciation to the works of  Chris McDowall and  Johan Nohr, as well as Ben Milton's Maze Rats.

Mostly Public Domain art work, but also utilized are hexes by Goatman's Goblet and World Champ Game Co. Additional (planned) maps courtesy of Watabou's procedural generators.
